Due to the world pandemic, COVID-19, higher education institutions (HEIs) have found themselves in an unprecedented situation. Like no other time before, this pandemic has posed a serious test of resilience HEIs – hence, current study sets off seize opportunity Omani HEIs. Oman devised contingency plans light directives and declarations received from government Supreme Committee responsible for handling impact COVID-19. The aimed at examining by against framework securitization theory order identify substances basis on which built their teaching learning plans. was also planned closely investigate individual experiences various stakeholders directly involved implementation Data were collected using document analysis reflective texts. Discourse content applied understand lived what shaped experiences. discourse data analysed approach thematic helped recurrent patterns concerning some during A number challenges along with worldwide identified, such as uncertainty lack resources experience online learning. discussion findings revealed dichotomies, well agreement, way perceive aspects teaching, assessment. On finding, calls more nuanced strengthen education. Particularly, recommends incorporating processes normalization assessment delivery modes consolidate HEIs’ resilience.
